Burport Marine Consultancy (Africa) (Pty) Ltd, (BMC Africa) is a company geared to provide specialist marine consultancy services to African countries and the international maritime community.

BMC (Africa) incorporates a skilled and experienced group of professionals able to render hands-on advice and guidance to maritime authorities and marine organisations. Their expertise incorporates port management and security, systems consultancy, marine administration and all aspects of shipping.

Being an African company BMC is in touch with the developing needs of the African Continent. Its individual members have had extensive experience in dealing with maritime bodies such as the International Maritime Organisation (IMO); and the International Association of Lighthouse Authorities (IALA). In most instances contact with these organisations has been through involvement in maritime projects aimed at finding sustainable solutions to problems in African maritime states and in the central lakes region in particular.
